Ujjayanta Palace
The Ujjayanta Palace in Agartala is currently the structure of the State Legislative Assembly. The palace is a specimen of architectural brilliance. Built in Indo-Greek style, the name of the palace was given by Rabindranath Tagore.

The structure that's surrounded by beautiful gardens is a architectural marvel with a reception hall, durbar hall, throne and a library. The interiors are intricately carved into wood with huge doors that speak of the royal lifestyle of the Kings.
Neermahal Palace
Neermahal is one of the most beautiful palaces in Tripura. This was the former residence of the royal family of the state. The palatial structure is built using sandstone and marble in Indian and Islamic architectural styles. The palace is located close to Agartala.
Jagannath Temple
The Jagannath temple in Agartala is one of the most visited temples in Tripura. It is believed that the idol of Lord Jagannath in the temple was donated by the famous Jagannath Temple of Puri in Odisha.
The temple structure is built in Hemandpanthi and Arabic styles. However, there is a strong Hindu influence in the interior designing of the temple. The pillars and the walls of the temple portray stories of Lord Krishna.
Tripura State Museum
Located in the heart of Agartala city, the Tripura State Museum is one that takes you to the glorious past of the state. The museum has a vast collection of Buddhist sculptures, handicraft items and other specimens that belong to the rich history of Tripura.
Jampui Hill
The eternal hills of Jampui is located around 250 km away from Agartala. Though it is far from the city, the visit would be a cherishing experience as the hills are known for its pleasant weather throughout the year. The Jampui hill is also a great producer of oranges which gives it the nickname as 'Kashmir of Tripura'.
The Orange and Tourism Festival in Tripura is celebrated every November. Tourists flock in from India and abroad to enjoy the celebration of fruits. Orchids and tea plantations are also found in these hills which makes it to the top of the tourist spots in Agartala.
Tripua Sundari Temple
A trip to Tripura is incomplete without a visit to the Tripura Sundari Temple located in Udaipur. This temple id dedicated to Goddess Kali and one of the 51 Shakti Peeths mentioned in Hindu mythology. The temple is shaped like a tortoise and thus also called as the Kurma Peeth.
According to Hindu mythology, it is believed that Sati's right foot fell in the land where the temple stands.
