The Fascinating Views of Darjeeling

The vistas of Darjeeling are alluring to any traveller, it is one of the prominent hill stations in West Bengal. Darjeeling is known for its tea plantations and the breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga mountain peaks.

The vibrant greenery of the tea plantations spread across the slopes, picturesque landscapes of mountain peaks and a blend of colonial charm with a modern touch is what defines this hill station.

Of course, the toy train running amidst all this is a visual treat. Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (toy train) along with Nilgiri Mountain Railway and Kalka Shimla Railway is listed as a World Heritage Site under Mountain Railways of India.

Darjeeling with its colonial charm and amazing landscapes has many tourist places. A traveller can explore and visit a number of tourist spots here. The best time to visit is from October - November or March - April as the climate will be stable.
