A major tourist place in Jorethang is the Rangeet River which is a tributary of Teesta river. Originating in the Himalayas it is a hot spot for river rafting.
Tourists come here to enjoy the scenic view of the region and also indulge in water sports. It is an ideal picnic spot as well.

How to Reach Jorethang
By Air: The nearest helipad to Jorethang is the one at Namchi, at a distance of about 25 km.
By Train: The nearest railway station to Jorethang is the New Jaipaigui (near Siliguri). It is present at a distance of 92 km from Jorethang and connects to Kolkata and Darjeeling.
By Road: Jorethang is situated on the way to Pelling from Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Siliguri and is well-connected by buses, jeeps and private cars.
