Jashpur is a top tourist place located in the north eastern side of Chhattisgarh. The hilly region here is known as Upper Ghat, and the flat regions with a few mountains are known as the Nich Ghat.

There are two more ghats namely Jhanda ghat and Bhelaghat. Kunkuri is the hottest region and, the Pandrapat is the coldest region here. The tourist place has many beautiful waterfalls and provides an opportunity to all nature lovers to explore the soothing beauty of nature.

Waterfalls in Jashpur

Some of the top tourist places here are the many beautiful waterfalls in the region namely the Rajpuri Waterfalls, Danpuri Waterfalls, Ranidah Waterfalls, Bhringraj Waterfalls, Gullu Waterfalls, Churi Waterfalls and Bane Waterfalls. Bhringraj Waterfalls is located 15 km away and is a popular tourist picnic spot here. Rajpuri Waterfalls is the most popular whereas the Ranidah waterfalls and Danpuri Waterfalls amidst the green forests and hills are a visual retreat for the tourists and the visitors. Bane Waterfalls, situated 25 km away from Kunkuri, is also worth a visit. The varied flora and fauna around these waterfalls gives you a soothing feeling.

Badal Khole Abhyaran

Badal Khole Abhyaran or sanctuary is situated in the Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh. This sanctuary is on the banks of rivers Eib and Dorki.The area is rich in flora and fauna and majority of the area is covered with Sal trees. A large variety of animals like panther, monkeys, bear, wolf, hyena, tigers, jungle cat, jackals are available for sighting in the sanctuary. Migratory birds are also observed here. The pleasant climate of the place makes it a favorable hill station for tourists.

Bel Mahadev

Bel Mahadev is a religious place which is situated on a hilly region and is 2 km away from Jashpur. It is a cave that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. During the festival of Maha Shivratri many devotees visit here to take the blessings of the Lord.

Khudiyarani ki Gufa

Khudiyarani ki Gufa (cave) is one of the top tourist places in Jashpur. It is 17 km away from Bagicha village in Jashpur district. These caves are said to be of historical significance.

Snake Park

Snake Park in Tapkara region is a popular tourist spot, having a large variety of snakes. This region is also referred to as the Naglok due to the number of snakes that are here. Some of the variety you could come across easily here are Indian Cobra, Common Krait and Common Cobra.

How to Reach

By Air: The nearest airport is Raipur. It has connecting flights to all major cities.

By Train: Jashpur does not have a railway station. The nearest railhead to Jashpur is Raigarh. The railway station in Raigarh is well connected to all nearby towns and major cities of India.

By Road: There are buses from Raigarh to here. You can avail buses or hire cabs to travel to Jashpur.
