The rich greenery of Amboli invites those who want to enjoy the wilderness. The scenic hills covered with thick forest and cascading waterfalls is a visual treat. Though Amboli is a monsoon destination, it has a pleasant climate during summer in Maharashtra.
It is eco hot-spot which is also the source of Hiranyakeshi river. Hiranyakeshwara (a cave temple) is where the river originates and also one of the main places. Amboli is one of the lesser known hill stations in Maharashtra. It is a haven for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts (it is a home to a number of animals).
