The reason as to why many tourists don't look into this sector is because most of them are ill-informed or are ignorant about it.

Skydiving is an extreme sport that is still in it's nascent stage in India, but its popularity and presence is slowly spreading. The sport has gained much of its prominence after it was potrayed in the movie 'Zindage Na Milegi Dobara' and now there is no stopping its growth.While there aren't many companies offering full-time skydiving tours or packages, the frequency of skydiving camps across the country has been steadily increasing. Those interesting in giving a hand at this activity can head to places like Mysore in Karnataka, Dhana in Madhya Pradesh, Deesa in Gujarat, Aamby Valley in Maharashtra and Pondicherry.

Do you love the snow? Do you love skiing? India offers some of the best options when it comes to skiing. The north of India where the cold Himalayas stand regally, is among the favorite hot spots for indulging in skiing expeditions. The white sheet of snow is so inviting that travellers head here to enjoy the snow and also participate in various sports held in these regions. Places such as Pahalgam and Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir, Auli in Uttarakhand and Manali and Kufri in Himachal Pradesh are hotspots for those interested in skiing.

3. River Rafting
There are only a few things that appeal to adventure enthusiasts more than the thrill of riding on the wild waters of untamed rivers or white water rafting as it is called. The mighty rivers flowing down from the heights of the Himalayas make India one of the world's best places for this water sport. While the best of rafting options lie north, in the Himalayan waters, South, West and East has also seen recently the development of the sport. Adventure enthusiasts can head to Rishikesh in Uttarakhand, Zanskar valley in Jammu and Kashmir, Darjeeling in West Bengal, Coorg in Karnataka, Kolad in Maharashtra and Sikkim to indulge in this sport.

Adventure sports has slowly become an integral part of India and travellers are looking for new sports that they can indulge in.
