Rafting, Shimla

Rafting attracts tourists in large numbers to Himachal Pradesh as there are four rivers where white water rafting can be enjoyed. The names of the rivers are Beas, Ravi, Chenab and Jhelum. These rivers flow almost parallel to each other in the north-west direction.

Although all of these rivers have a wonderful stretch of water for rafting enthusiasts, rafting in the river Beas has especially gained huge popularity. The best seasons for this sport are summer, autumn and spring as heavy snowfall during the winters and rainfall during the monsoons do not allow water sports.
