Alsisar And Malsisar, Shekhawati

Alsisar and Malsisar are two towns located in the Jhunjhunu district at the northernmost tip of Shekhawati region. These towns were established in the late and mid 18th century respectively. These are famous for the exquisite style of their frescoes and colourful paintings. Wells and reservoirs with ornamental Rajasthani architecture along with painted havelis are worth visiting in the region.

Alsisar is located 27 km from the town of Jhunjhunu and is famous for painted forts and havelis. Some of the major tourist attractions present here include Shri Lal Bahadur Mal Ki Haveli, Tejpal Jhunjhunuwala ki Haveli, Lakha ka ki Haveli, Mahali Dutt, Khetan Haveli, Cenotaph of Thakur Chhotu Singh, Sri Lal Bahadur Mal Well and Jiwan Ram Marodia ka Talab.

Malsisar is a small village located 32 km from the town of Jhunjhunu. Some of the popular tourist attractions of the village include Prem Giri Ji ka Math (a holy place), Banarsi Das Banka Haveli, Serh Mal Saraogi Haveli, Banka’s Well, Jokhi Ram’s well and Saraogi’s Well.
