Butail Niwas, Pragpur

Butail Niwas, showcasing a fusion of north Indian and colonial architectural styles, was constructed by Lala Buta Mal, a descendent of the Chaujjar Sood clan. This century old building has six identical apartments, which Lala Buta Mal constructed for his six sons. A sunken courtyard around which the building is built is flooded with water to cool down the place.
