In Uttarakhand, weather patterns have been unpredictable, ranging from chilly mountain peaks to cold plains. Nainital experienced a particularly frosty Sunday morning with a mix of sunshine and clouds. Icy winds brought the maximum daytime temperature in the Terai-Bhabar region down to 5.9 degrees Celsius, making it feel colder than usual.
The recent snowfalls in the higher altitudes have intensified cold winds across the plains. In Haldwani, daytime temperatures peaked at 18.2 degrees Celsius, while nighttime temperatures dropped to a chilly 7.8 degrees Celsius. As evening set in, a light fog descended, reducing visibility and making travel challenging for motorists.
