The Sabarmati Riverfront, located in the heart of Ahmedabad, is one of the city's most famous landmarks. Stretching along the Sabarmati River, this beautifully developed area is known for its scenic views, peaceful gardens, and stunning structures like the Atal Bridge. It is a popular spot for both locals and tourists to relax and enjoy nature. With the Diwali vacation approaching, the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL) has decided to increase the entry fees for the parks and gardens along the riverfront to manage the expected surge in visitors.

Starting from October 17, 2024, visitors will notice new prices in effect at the various attractions along the riverfront. Here are the main changes:
General Entry Fees
- Children under 12 years old: The entry fee has been raised from ₹5 to ₹10.
- Individuals over 12 years old: The fee has been increased from ₹10 to ₹20.
Specific Locations
- Atal Bridge: The entry fee for those over 12 years old has gone up from ₹30 to ₹50. For children aged 3 to 12, the fee is now ₹30, up from ₹15.
- Biodiversity Park: For visitors over 12, the new fee is ₹30.
Combo Tickets
For those visiting both the Sabarmati Riverfront Flower Park and the Atal Bridge, the new combo ticket prices are as follows:
- Adults: ₹70, up from ₹40.
- Children (3 to 12 years old): ₹40, increased from ₹20.

Special Categories
- Children under 3 years old and differently-abled individuals: Free entry remains available for them.
- Educational Tours: The fee for students on educational tours has been raised from ₹1 to ₹5.
- Senior Citizens: Their fee has increased from ₹5 to ₹10.
These new fees were approved during a board meeting on October 15, 2024, and have been in place since October 17. SRFDCL stated that the fee hike was necessary to manage the increasing number of visitors, especially during the festive season, and to help maintain the facilities.
The Sabarmati Riverfront is famous not only for its natural beauty but also for the various activities it offers, including cycling, boating, and walking along the river. The riverfront has become a major attraction in Ahmedabad, offering residents and visitors a peaceful escape in the midst of the bustling city. The development along the Sabarmati River has also played a significant role in making Ahmedabad a more eco-friendly and sustainable city.
