The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced planned power outages in parts of Bengaluru and the nearby Tumakuru region on November 4 and November 6. The power outage is an essential part of the maintenance work and pole relocation work going on under the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation

Limited and the National Highway Authority of India. Bengaluru, the affected areas fall under the North Division-1 and are connected to the Kempanahalli sub-station. Moreover, other works, including transformer servicing, cable replacements, and safety inspections, will be carried out to strengthen the electricity infrastructure.

Power Cut to Affect Tumakuru Region
In the Tumakuru region, areas such as Belagumba village and layout, Lambani Tanda, Jyothipura, S.S. Layout, Kunduru village and layout, and Venkataadri Layout will also face interruptions.
Advisory for Bangalore Residents
BESCOM has asked residents in these zones to plan to carry out electricity-dependent work, charge devices in advance, and switch off appliances during the outage for safety. They've also provided a 24×7 helpline (1912) and district WhatsApp contact options for reporting issues. They need to schedule important activities before or after the power outage to avoid inconvenience. Moreover, while the outages may cause inconvenience, they are intended to improve long-term reliability and voltage stability in the affected areas.
