Namo Bharat Trip Pass: NCRTC has Introduced a New Trip Facility for Passengers Travelling on Namo Bharat Train

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has introduced a new Trip Pass facility for passengers travelling on Namo Bharat trains, launched on Tuesday. It is available to commuters using National Common Mobility Cards (NCMC), aiming to make regular travel more convenient.

Namo Bharat Trip Pass to Benefit Passengers

The Trip Pass allows frequent passengers to pay for multiple journeys in advance instead of purchasing a separate ticket for every trip. It also reduces the need for commuters to repeatedly recharge their NCMC cards before travelling.

The facility is mainly intended for passengers who regularly travel between the same source and destination stations. Once the Trip Pass is loaded onto an NCMC card, the applicable journey is automatically deducted when the passenger travels between the selected stations.

Commuters can use the pass multiple times in a single day, as long as they travel between the stations chosen while purchasing the pass. This makes the facility useful for passengers who frequently use the same Namo Bharat route. For example, a journey between Sarai Kale Khan and Modipuram costs ₹210 for passengers travelling in the Standard Coach. The fare for the same journey in the Premium Coach is ₹250.

For regular passengers travelling between Sarai Kale Khan and Modipuram, the Trip Pass can reduce the need for frequent wallet recharges and individual transactions. Instead, they can load the required trips onto their NCMC card and use the pass for their eligible journeys.

The new facility is to ease the ticketing process for frequent Namo Bharat users while making payments quicker and more convenient. By allowing multiple journeys to be planned and paid for in advance, the Trip Pass provides an additional travel option for regular commuters using the Namo Bharat services.

The NCRTC has introduced the facility as part of efforts to improve the passenger experience and encourage the convenient use of NCMC-based digital payments on Namo Bharat trains.
