Noida Metro to Install Kiosks at Six Stations via Open Bid to Boost Convenience and Revenue

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has decided to allow kiosks to be set up at six Metro stations to improve facilities for passengers and increase its non-fare income. These stations are Sector 50, Sector 51, Sector 76, Alpha 1, Delta 1, and the Greater Noida Authority office station. The

initial licence for these kiosks will be given for five years and can be extended for three years, depending on NMRC's terms and conditions.

Tender Document

According to the tender document, different amounts of space are available at each station. Sector 51 has 33 square metres, Sector 50 has 40 square metres, Sector 76 has 33 square metres, Alpha 1 has the largest space at 75 square metres, Delta 1 has 65 square metres, and the Greater Noida Authority office station has 64 square metres.

Kiosks at Metro Stations

Officials said NMRC has chosen a single-stage open e-bidding process to select the highest bidder for each location. The selected bidders will get the licence to set up, operate, and maintain mixed convenience stores in the form of kiosks. These kiosks will be located on the ground floor, below the staircase structures at the six Metro stations.

For daily commuters, these kiosks are expected to make Metro travel easier and more comfortable. Passengers will be able to buy essential items or use quick services without leaving the station, which will save time, especially during busy hours. This will also reduce the need to step outside the station for small purchases.

How Will these Kiosks Benefit Commuters?

Office-goers, students, and residents who use the Metro regularly are likely to benefit the most. With these kiosks, Metro stations will become more user-friendly spaces rather than just places to catch a train. Officials said the move also supports NMRC's goal of boosting revenue beyond ticket sales.

Nagpur Metro Aqua Line

At present, NMRC's Aqua Line runs between Noida Sector 51 and the Depot Station in Greater Noida. As of December 2025, the line has an average daily ridership of about 65,739 passengers. Officials also said the skywalk connecting Sector 51 and Sector 52 stations will open to the public by February 1.
