Soon after Narendra Modi virtually flagged off six new trains from locations in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, the Ministry of Railways announced that four of these trains will run once a week.

Operation of Trains
The ministry released six separate notifications along with details of these services. The notifications included information regarding when the trains will operate regularly, their stoppages along the route, and the days they will operate. Railway authorities have also asked the concerned rail divisions to widely inform passengers about the start of these new services so that more people can benefit from them.
List of Trains to Begin Operations Shortly
One of the major trains introduced is the 22-coach Nagercoil-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express, which will begin its regular commercial service on March 12. It will depart from Nagercoil at 11:45 pm every Thursday and reach Charlapalli at 4:20 am on Saturday. On the return trip, the train will depart from Charlapalli at 8:15 am every Saturday and arrive back in Nagercoil at 3:35 pm on Sunday.
Another service, the Pollachi-Palakkad MEMU Train, will also begin regular operations from March 12. This train will run five days a week and is expected to improve short-distance travel between the two towns.
The Mangaluru-Rameswaram Express will operate as a weekly service. Its regular journey will start on March 14, departing from Mangaluru at 7:30 pm.
Another train, the Mayiladuturai-Karaikudi Passenger Train, will start running daily from March 16, helping improve regional connectivity.
Moreover, the Tirunelveli-Mangaluru Express will begin weekly services from March 18. It will depart from Tirunelveli at 3:45 pm.
These new services are expected to improve rail connectivity and make travel easier for passengers across several parts of southern India.
