Central Railway will operate special weekly trains between Mumbai and Bengaluru from October 10 to November 22 to handle the passenger traffic during the festive season.
Mumbai-Bengaluru Weekly Special Trains
A total of 14 trips will be operated, with seven services in each direction. Train No. 01013 will run from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Mumbai, to Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT), Bengaluru, every Saturday from October 10 to November 21. The train will depart from CSMT at 12:35 am and arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 11:55 pm on the same day.
The return service, Train No. 01014, will operate every Sunday from October 11 to November 22. It will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 4:30 am and reach CSMT Mumbai at 4:05 am the following day.
Mumbai-Bengaluru Weekly Special Trains: Stations on the route
The special trains will stop at several stations in Maharashtra and Karnataka. The stoppages in both directions will include Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Lonand, Satara, Karad, Sangli, Miraj, Kudachi, Raybag, Ghatprabha, Belagavi, Londa, Dharwad, SSS Hubballi, Haveri, Ranibennur, Harihar, Davangere, Birur, Arsikere and Tumakuru.
Mumbai-Bengaluru Weekly Special Trains: 22-coach train
Each special train will have 22 coaches. The composition will include two AC 2-Tier coaches, 18 AC 3-Tier coaches and two luggage-cum-guard-cum-generator vans. The additional services are being introduced to provide more travel options between Mumbai and Bengaluru during the Puja, Diwali and Chhath festive period.
