Festival Special Trains: Indian Railways will Operate a Special Train between Hadapsar-Pune and Gorakhpur

To handle the rise in passenger demand during the festive season, the Railways will run a special train between Hadapsar-Pune and Gorakhpur.

Festival Special Trains: Daily train from Pune to Gorakhpur

Train Nos. 01415/01416 will operate between Hadapsar-Pune and Gorakhpur from October 16 to November 17. The service will make 32 trips in each direction and will have 18 coaches. The train will leave Hadapsar at 7:05 am and reach Gorakhpur at 4 am on the third day. On its journey, the train will stop at Daund Chord Line, Ahilyanagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Orai, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Gonda, Mankapur and Basti.

Festival Special Trains: Gorakhpur-Hadapsar service

The return service, Train No. 01416 Gorakhpur-Hadapsar Festival Special, will run daily from October 17 to November 17. It will depart from Gorakhpur at 5:30 pm and pass through Basti, Mankapur, Gonda, and Lucknow. The train will reach Kanpur, Jhansi, Bina, Bhopal, Itarsi, Khandwa, Bhusaval, Manmad, Kopargaon, Belapur and Ahilyanagar the following day. It will then travel through Daund Chord Line and arrive at Hadapsar at 3:30 am on the third day.

18-coach special train

The festival special will have 18 coaches:

• 6 Sleeper Class coaches

• 6 General Class coaches

• 4 AC 3-Tier coaches

• 2 SLRD coaches

Changes due to signalling work

Train operations on the Gorakhpur-Gonda section will also be affected on September 26 and 27 because of ongoing automatic signalling work.

The work is being carried out on the 18.82-km section covering Swaminarayan Chhapya, Maskanwa, Lakshmipur and Mankapur. Non-interlocking work during these two days will lead to changes in the operation of four trains.

Changes to trains 14233 and 14234

The 14233 Prayagraj Sangam-Mankapur Express scheduled for September 26 will terminate at Ayodhya Cantt instead of Mankapur. Its service between Ayodhya Cantt and Mankapur will remain cancelled.

The 14234 Mankapur-Prayagraj Sangam Express scheduled for September 27 will start from Ayodhya Cantt instead of Mankapur. The section between Mankapur and Ayodhya Cantt will remain cancelled.

Basti Express services affected

The 14231 Prayagraj Sangam-Basti Express scheduled for September 26 will terminate at Ayodhya Cantt instead of Basti. Its onward service from Ayodhya Cantt to Basti will remain cancelled. Similarly, the 14232 Basti-Prayagraj Sangam Express scheduled for September 26 will originate from Ayodhya Cantt instead of Basti. It will not operate between Basti and Ayodhya Cantt.

Passengers travelling on September 26 and 27 have been advised to check the revised train schedules before starting their journey.
