The Ram temple, a beacon of faith and devotion, has witnessed an overwhelming surge of followers and contributions since its consecration ceremony on January 22. According to the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, the temple has not only become a spiritual haven for approximately 25 lakh devotees in just 11 days but has also amassed more than Rs 11 crore in donations. This remarkable show of faith underscores the temple's significance in the hearts of its devotees, with an astounding Rs 8 crore being deposited in donation boxes and about Rs 3.50 crore received through online contributions.

A Haven of Devotion: Daily Darshan at the Ram Temple
Prakash Gupta, the temple trust's office in-charge, revealed that more than 2 lakh devotees make their way to the Ram temple daily to seek blessings from Ram Lalla. The temple's sanctum sanctorum, housing the deity, has been equipped with four large donation boxes situated near the 'darshan path,' enabling devotees to offer their contributions. A dedicated team comprising 11 bank employees and three temple trust members meticulously counts the donations under the vigilant eyes of CCTV surveillance, ensuring transparency and security in the process.

Benefiting from Devotion: Tax Relief on Temple Donations
In a move that intertwines faith with financial prudence, individuals contributing to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Trust, officially known as the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, are eligible for deductions under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. This provision, allowing for tax deductions on donations to eligible charitable institutions, affords devotees not only spiritual but also fiscal benefits. Contributions can be made through various channels like cheques, UPI, and Internet Banking. To avail of the tax deduction, it is imperative for donors to retain their donation receipts and declare the donation amount while submitting their income tax return (ITR). This measure not only encourages generosity but also ensures that the act of giving is recognized and rewarded by the state.

The remarkable influx of devotees and donations to the Ram temple post its consecration ceremony is a testament to the unwavering faith and generosity of its followers. With more than Rs 11 crore in donations and a daily footfall exceeding 2 lakh devotees, the temple stands as a symbol of devotion and communal harmony. Moreover, the provision for income tax relief on donations further incentivizes this act of giving, marrying spirituality with financial wisdom. As the temple continues to inspire and attract devotees from across the nation, it reaffirms the enduring strength and unity of faith in India.
