Jodhpur-Chennai Special Trains have been Announced by South Central Railway to Handle Rush

South Central Railway has announced special train services between Jodhpur and Chennai Beach to handle the extra passenger rush during the busy travel season. These trains will run on selected dates in June and July 2026 and are expected to provide relief to passengers travelling between Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.

Jodhpur-Chennai Special Trains

Train number 04815 will run from Jodhpur to Chennai Beach every Saturday. It will leave Jodhpur at 9:20 pm and reach Chennai Beach at 8 pm on Monday. This special service will operate on June 27 and on July 4, 11, 18, and 25, making a total of five trips.

The return service, train number 04816, will run from MGR Chennai Central to Jodhpur every Tuesday. This will also give passengers an additional option for travelling back from Chennai to Rajasthan during the holiday season.

Important Stoppages

On the way, the train will stop at many important stations across different states. Some of the major halts include Merta Road, Degana, Makrana, Kuchaman City, Phulera, Jaipur, Durgapura, Sawai Madhopur, Chhabra Gugor, Guna, Bina, Bhopal, Itarsi, Nagpur, Balharshah, Sirpur Kaghaznagar, Mancherial, Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, and Nayudupeta. This route will help connect several important cities and towns between north and south India.

Indian Railways has advised passengers to check seat availability, reservation status, and train timings on official railway booking platforms before planning their journey. Since these special trains will run only on limited dates, there may be heavy demand, especially during weekends and holiday periods.
