Bengaluru Buses for Gandhi Jayanti: KSRTC will Run 850 Additional Buses from the City on October 2

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will run 850 additional buses from Bengaluru to different destinations in Karnataka and neighbouring States for the Gandhi Jayanti holiday on October 2 and the following weekend.

Bengaluru Special Buses for Gandhi Jayanti

The special buses will operate from Bengaluru on October 1 and 2. On October 4, additional services will run towards Bengaluru from different intra-state and inter-state destinations to manage the expected rush of passengers.

From Kempegowda Bus Station, special buses will operate to several destinations, including Dharmasthala, Kukke Subrahmanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Sringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Ballari, Koppal, Yadgir, Bidar, Tirupati, Vijayawada and Hyderabad, among other places. Special services from Mysuru Road Bus Station will connect Bengaluru with Mysuru, Hunsur, Piriyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalnagar and Madikeri.

Meanwhile, premier special buses from the BMTC bus station at Shanthinagar TTMC will operate to destinations such as Madurai, Kumbakonam, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam and Kozhikode.

KSRTC has also opened advance online reservations for these special services through its website. Passengers who have booked tickets in advance have been asked to check their designated boarding points before travelling.

Passengers travelling in groups can also avail themselves of discounts. A 5% fare discount will be provided when four or more passengers book tickets together. A 10% discount on return journey tickets will be available when the onward and return tickets are booked at the same time.

KSRTC said that additional buses will also be operated from taluk and district bus stands depending on passenger demand.
