Intra-city Helicopter Services To International Airport Bengaluru From October 10: Cost And How To Book

In a first, Urban Air Mobility company BLADE India will promote the use of helicopters to commute over high-traffic areas in Bangalore to reach airports on time. Also, it will offer helicopter flights between Bangalore International Airport and HAL every weekday at 9 am and return at 4:15 pm.

This air route between the Bengaluru airport and HAL to operate from Monday, October 10th 2022, and is now open for bookings on the BLADE India website or via the Flier Relations unit at 1800 102 5233.

The initiative of this intra-city assistance will let fliers skip the frustrating 2-hour commute by road route to Bangalore city in traffic and choose a swift 12-minute flight instead.

Highlights of the BLADE service

  • The Helicopter service aims to link a couple of hotpots from Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.
  • The one-way trip will fly people roughly in 12 minutes from Electronic City To BIAL (to and fro) and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited airport (HAL) To BIAL (to and fro).
  • Five passengers can be carted on each trip.
  • The overall cost will be Rs 3250 plus taxes.
  • Depending on the response, BLADE India will introduce more air routes to Electronic City and Whitefield.
  • The Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL), located roughly 40 km from the Banglore city centre, is a painful journey for globetrotters to reach the airport. Therefore, BLADE is ready to transform a 2-hour drive into a 12-minute flight.
  • Intra-city helicopter services will be available Six days a week, during prime business hours and will operate from Monday, October 10th 2022.

About BLADE

BLADE India started in October 2019, with its maiden flights in Maharashtra between Pune, Shirdi, and Mumbai. Being one of the most happening cities in India, Bengaluru has at least 100000 tourists travelling to and fro the city on a daily basis. Even if 10% of them use Intra-city helicopters to commute to the international airport, the air service could become economically feasible.

With this initiative, the Karnataka government envisions the Intra-city helicopter service to be an example for other cities in India in order to boost the use of helicopters to commute over high gridlock areas to get to the airports on time.
