This addition positions Penang as the third Malaysian destination directly accessible via IndiGo, following Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi. In tandem with the Chennai-Penang route, IndiGo is set to recommence its flights connecting Bengaluru with Kuala Lumpur on the same day, further bolstering its connectivity between India and Malaysia. The new service promises to cut the travel time between Chennai and Penang from seven to approximately four hours, offering a swift and seamless option for passengers. Flight No. 6E 1045 will depart Chennai at 2:15 AM, reaching Penang at 8:30 AM. The return flight, No. 6E 1046, will leave Penang at 9:30 AM and land in Chennai at 10:35 AM, operating on a daily basis.
