The Prayagraj Division of North Central Railways has introduced QR code payment facilities at ticket counters in Prayagraj and Kanpur stations. These trial runs are helping the railways to understand how well the system works and to make any necessary improvements before rolling it out to all stations in the division. If the trial runs are successful, the QR code payment system will be expanded to more stations, making it available to even more passengers.
Shiv Prasad, the Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) of the Malda Division, has expressed confidence in the new system. He believes that the introduction of dynamic QR code devices at ticket counters will greatly simplify the payment process. These devices will send payment requests directly to passengers' mobile phones, making it easy for them to complete their transactions without any hassle. This new system is expected to make buying tickets a quicker and more convenient experience for everyone.
