Motorists in Hyderabad can now enjoy smoother commutes with the opening of a new flyover in Gopanpally Tanda. The Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, officially inaugurated the 'Y'-shaped flyover, which is expected to significantly improve traffic flow in the area.

Key Features of the New Flyover
The uni-directional, two-lane flyover starts at Gopanpally Junction and has exits towards Nallagandla and Tellapur. Constructed by the Roads and Buildings department, the project cost an estimated Rs 28.50 crore. The total length of the flyover, including its approaches, is 430 metres to Nallagandla and 550 metres to Tellapur.
This new infrastructure aims to ease congestion in the IT corridors of Hitec-City and the Financial District. It will benefit both IT employees and other commuters travelling along the Outer Ring Road (ORR). The flyover features 16 spans—10 towards Tellapur and six towards Nallagandla.
Delayed Inauguration Due to Elections
The inauguration of this much-anticipated flyover was initially scheduled for last month but was delayed due to the recent Lok Sabha elections. Now that it is open to the public, residents are hopeful it will provide relief from persistent traffic woes in the area.
Future Infrastructure Plans
In a separate announcement, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy revealed plans for a significant investment of Rs 1.5 Lakh crore over the next five years. This investment will be used to develop Greater Hyderabad and revitalise the Musi River. Various projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the city's infrastructure are part of this plan.
The city's expansion plans also include constructing and improving radial roads connecting the ORR with the Regional Ring Road. These projects are designed to enhance connectivity and accommodate Hyderabad's growing urban population by expanding its boundaries.
With these developments, Hyderabad is set to see significant improvements in its infrastructure, benefiting both residents and commuters alike.
