After a wet overnight spell and cooler morning conditions, Hyderabad is expected to witness another day of changing weather, with cloudy skies, warm daytime temperatures and increasing chances of rain and thunderstorms by evening.

The city woke up to pleasant weather after widespread rainfall overnight across several localities, bringing relief from recent heat. Several western and suburban pockets recorded intense spells through the night, with some locations reporting significant rainfall accumulation.

As of Tuesday morning, Hyderabad recorded a temperature of around 31°C, while the day's maximum is expected to touch 33°C and the minimum may remain close to 25°C. Conditions are expected to stay mostly cloudy, with moderate humidity and breezy winds adding to the monsoon feel across the city.

Rain Likely To Return Around Evening

Weather indicators suggest that the afternoon may remain partly cloudy before conditions become more favourable for showers and thunderstorms.

Between 4 PM and 7 PM, parts of Hyderabad could witness intermittent rain activity with pockets of thunderstorm development. The strongest possibility of rainfall is expected around 6 PM, when thunderstorm activity may become more active across some areas.

By late evening and night, temperatures are expected to gradually fall into the 28°C-26°C range, bringing cooler conditions across the city.

Overnight Rain Brought Heavy Spells In Several Areas

Hyderabad and surrounding suburbs received widespread rain during the late-night and early-morning hours. Several western corridors reported stronger rainfall intensity.

Areas that witnessed notable rainfall activity included:

  • Serilingampally
  • Gachibowli
  • Miyapur
  • Madhapur
  • RC Puram
  • Kukatpally
  • Manikonda
  • Khajaguda
  • Shamshabad
  • Rajendranagar

Reports indicated that some western suburban stretches recorded rainfall exceeding 12 cm, with Chandanagar and Ramachandrapuram touching around 12.7 cm, while Lingampally crossed 12 cm and Gachibowli recorded around 10 cm.

Red Alert In Parts Of Telangana; Hyderabad To Stay Under Watch

Weather authorities have indicated that monsoon conditions are strengthening over Telangana, with heavy rain activity expected to continue in phases over the coming days.

A red alert has been issued for 10 Telangana districts, with officials warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in vulnerable pockets. Authorities have also cautioned residents in low-lying areas to remain alert due to the possibility of sudden waterlogging during intense thunderstorms.

  • Keep umbrellas and rain gear handy during evening travel hours.
  • Expect brief traffic slowdowns in waterlogging-prone stretches.
  • Avoid unnecessary travel during thunderstorm periods.
  • Monitor local weather updates before commuting after 4 PM.
  • Residents in low-lying areas should remain cautious during intense rainfall spells.

Hyderabad's weather is expected to remain active through the day, with cloud cover, evening rain chances and monsoon conditions continuing to shape the city's forecast.
