South Western Railway (SWR) has announced special express train services between SSS Hubballi and Chikkamagaluru to meet the expected rise in passenger demand during the upcoming festive season. The additional trains will provide more travel options and improve rail connectivity between North Karnataka and the Malnad region.
Hubballi to Chikkamagaluru Special Trains
The special service, Train No. 07341, will run from SSS Hubballi to Chikkamagaluru on Saturdays and Sundays. It will operate from September 5 to September 27, 2026, and complete eight trips during this period. The service will resume from October 3 and continue until October 31, making another nine trips. The return service, Train No. 07342, will run from Chikkamagaluru to SSS Hubballi on the same days and dates.
Train No. 07341 will depart from SSS Hubballi at 5:00 am and reach Chikkamagaluru at 11:15 am. On the return journey, Train No. 07342 will leave Chikkamagaluru at 5:30 pm and arrive at SSS Hubballi at 11:20 pm.
Important Stoppages
The special trains will stop at several stations along the route. These include Kundgol, Saunshi, Yalvigi, Haveri, Byadgi, Ranibennur, Harihar, Davangere, Chikjajur, Ramagiri, Ajjampur, Birur, Kadur, Bisalehalli, Sakharayapatna and Kanivehalli. SSS Hubballi and Chikkamagaluru will be the originating and terminating stations.
