The North Central Railway has prepared a detailed plan to make travel easier and more comfortable for passengers during the Holi festival. Since Holi is one of the busiest travel periods, railways usually see a sharp rise in passenger numbers. To handle this extra rush and avoid inconvenience, NCR has

decided to run a large number of special trains on important routes across its network.
204 Trips of Holi Special Train Trips
As part of this festive arrangement, a total of 204 trips of special trains have been announced to run through the North Central Railway zone. These special services will connect major cities and popular destinations across the country. The main aim of these additional trains is to provide more travel options, reduce overcrowding in regular trains, and help passengers reach their hometowns or holiday destinations safely and on time.
Out of the total planned special services, NCR will directly operate five pairs of special trains within its main area of responsibility. These five pairs will together make 36 trips. These trains have been scheduled keeping in mind the routes that usually experience the highest demand during Holi. By adding these services, NCR hopes to manage passenger flow better and ensure smoother operations during the festival period.
Planning of Timings
The railway authorities have carefully planned the timings, routes, and frequency of these trains so that they do not disturb regular train services. Extra attention has also been given to crowd management, punctuality, and safety. Officials have advised passengers to check train schedules in advance and book tickets early to avoid last-minute problems.
However, this large-scale plan by the North Central Railway reflects its efforts to provide hassle-free travel during Holi and ensure that passengers can celebrate the festival with their families without facing major travel difficulties.
