Jeep safaris to the stunning Dudhsagar Falls have resumed, sparking excitement among tourists eager for adventure in Goa. This return was made possible through an agreement between the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) and the Dudhsagar Tour Operators' Association (DTOA), with support from Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. Thanks to this resolution, visitors can again enjoy the thrilling journey through the lush Western Ghats to witness the breathtaking Dudhsagar Falls, one of India's tallest waterfalls, nestled within the scenic Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary.

With the new booking system in place, travelers now have more flexibility in planning their visit to Dudhsagar Falls. The GTDC will continue offering online bookings for the next month, during which it will handle online registrations for the tour. Meanwhile, the DTOA is managing offline bookings, allowing tourists the choice between online and in-person registration. After this one-month period, the DTOA will take over online registrations as well. This setup has already enabled smooth coordination, with 770 tourists booked through offline methods and another 1,440 visitors via online registrations, using a total of 350 vehicles.
Dudhsagar Falls, often called the "Sea of Milk," lives up to its name with frothy white waters that cascade down over 300 meters, creating a magnificent sight for travelers and photographers. Surrounded by dense forests within the wildlife sanctuary, the falls are a must-visit for anyone exploring Goa, especially during the ideal October-to-March season right after the monsoons.
The journey to Dudhsagar Falls is a true adventure. The jeep safari, organized by tour operators, takes visitors through rugged trails, crossing small streams and thick forests of the Western Ghats. The bumpy ride adds to the excitement as guests are fully immersed in the wilderness before reaching the falls. Once at the base, the crystal-clear pool formed by the waterfall offers a refreshing swimming spot, perfect for cooling off after the safari.
Beyond the adventure and beauty of Dudhsagar Falls, the tour introduces visitors to Goa's lesser-known natural landscapes. The Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, home to Dudhsagar, is rich in biodiversity, making it a great destination for nature lovers. This part of the tour reveals a side of Goa often overshadowed by its famous beaches and vibrant nightlife, offering a chance to experience the region's untamed beauty.

From the thrilling jeep safari and refreshing swim to the scenic views of Dudhsagar Falls, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
