Prime Minister Modi Unveils Four New Vande Bharat Express Trains for Enhanced Travel Experience

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has flagged off four new Vande Bharat Express trains, adding another milestone to India's modern railway network. The Vande Bharat Express is known for offering a fast, comfortable, and premium travel experience for passengers on short and medium-distance routes.

New Trains to Operate on Four Routes

The new trains will operate on four important routes: Varanasi-Khajuraho, Bengaluru-Ernakulam, Lucknow Junction-Saharanpur, and Firozpur Cantt-Delhi. These fully air-conditioned trains can reach a top speed of 180 kmph (with 160 kmph as the maximum operating speed). Each train has modern facilities such as automatic doors, sealed gangways, aircraft-style reading lights, comfortable seats, bio-vacuum toilets, modular pantries, and emergency call buttons. Executive class seats can rotate for extra comfort.

Firozpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express

Train number 26462 will leave Firozpur Cantt at 7:55 AM and reach Delhi at 2:35 PM, taking 6 hours 40 minutes, stopping at seven stations including Bathinda, Patiala, and Ambala Cantt. The return train (26461) departs Delhi at 4:00 PM and reaches Firozpur at 10:35 PM, running six days a week except Wednesday.

Varanasi-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express

Train 26422 leaves Varanasi at 5:25 AM and reaches Khajuraho at 1:10 PM, taking 7 hours 45 minutes, stopping at Prayagraj and Banda, among others. The return train (26421) leaves Khajuraho at 3:20 PM and reaches Varanasi at 11:00 PM, saving around 2 hours and 40 minutes compared to other trains.

Bengaluru-Ernakulam Vande Bharat Express

Train 26651 departs Bengaluru at 5:10 AM and reaches Ernakulam at 1:50 PM, taking 8 hours 40 minutes with stops at Salem, Coimbatore, and Thrissur. The return (26652) leaves Ernakulam at 2:20 PM and arrives in Bengaluru at 11:00 PM, reducing travel time by 2 hours.

Lucknow-Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express

Train 26504 leaves Lucknow at 5:00 AM and reaches Saharanpur at 12:45 PM, taking 7 hours 45 minutes with stops at Bareilly, Moradabad, and Roorkee. The return (26503) leaves Saharanpur at 3:00 PM and arrives in Lucknow at 11:00 PM, saving about 1 hour in travel time.
