Delhi residents in several parts of the capital are set to experience scheduled power interruptions on Thursday, June 11, 2026, as electricity distribution companies undertake maintenance, transformer replacement, network strengthening and infrastructure upgrade works across multiple divisions.
According to the scheduled outage plan, shutdowns will take place at different time slots through the day, with localities across Dwarka, Janakpuri, Palam, Khanpur, Nizamuddin, Mohan Garden, Mundka and Jafarpur expected to be affected.
Authorities have advised consumers to complete essential charging, plan work schedules accordingly and remain prepared for temporary service interruptions.
Why Is Delhi Facing Scheduled Power Cuts?
Officials said the outages are part of preventive and infrastructure-related work before the monsoon period. The activities include:
- Transformer replacement
- Network upgradation
- RMU (Ring Main Unit) maintenance
- Installation of new power lines
- Local distribution strengthening
Power departments expect these upgrades to reduce the risk of faults and improve supply reliability during heavy rain and peak demand periods.
