The disruption was confined to a short stretch of the corridor, leading to a slowdown in train services. In an update shared on X (formerly Twitter), the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) stated: "Owing to a signalling issue at the Millennium City Centre terminal station on the Yellow Line, the reversal of trains towards Samaypur Badli is taking longer than usual. Consequently, services are running with minor delays between Sultanpur and Millennium City Centre. Our teams are working to resolve the issue at the earliest."

Passenger Experiences and Feedback

While the DMRC assured that services were operating normally between Sultanpur and Samaypur Badli, many commuters still faced difficulties during their morning journey.

Aditi Malhotra, a software engineer, shared her experience: "The train stopped for nearly 10 minutes before reaching Guru Dronacharya station. The announcements were unclear, which created panic among passengers rushing to work."

Similarly, Rajeev Saini, who was waiting at Millennium City Centre station, expressed frustration: "The platform was overcrowded, and trains were delayed. It shows how even a small technical glitch can throw thousands of commuters off schedule."

These accounts highlight how minor technical disruptions can have a major impact on daily travelers.

Actions to Address the Situation

DMRC officials confirmed that efforts were underway to rectify the issue, with expectations that services would return to normal soon. Their immediate priority was to address the signalling glitch and minimize inconvenience for passengers.

The incident underscores the importance of seamless metro operations in a city like Delhi, where millions rely on public transport for their daily commute. Ensuring consistent and dependable services is vital for maintaining commuter trust and satisfaction.

As restoration work progressed, passengers remained hopeful for a swift resolution and smoother journeys ahead. Meanwhile, DMRC's timely updates on social media proved crucial in keeping travelers informed during the disruption.
