The Railway Board has approved a new Amrit Bharat Express train service between Delhi and Gorakhpur, offering affordable long-distance train services for lower-income and lower-middle-class passengers. The new train will run once a week. This announcement comes shortly after the Ministry of Railways introduced two other Amrit Bharat Express trains

connecting Uttar Pradesh with Maharashtra. These include the Banaras-Hadapsar (Pune) Amrit Bharat Express and the Ayodhya Cantt-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) Amrit Bharat Express.
Delhi-Gorakhpur Amrit Bharat Express

On the return journey, Train No. 14045 will depart from Gorakhpur at 9:40 p.m. every Tuesday and arrive in Delhi at 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday.
During the journey, the train will stop at several important stations, including Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur City, Burhwal, Gonda, Balrampur, Barhni, Siddharth Nagar, and Anand Nagar.
The Railway Board stated that the train service may first begin as a special train before later becoming a regular service. However, the train rake will be maintained in Delhi, where primary maintenance work will be carried out.
How will this Service Benefit Passengers?
The introduction of this train is expected to improve travel options for passengers travelling between Delhi and eastern Uttar Pradesh, especially those looking for affordable and comfortable long-distance rail services.
Indian Railways introduced Amrit Bharat trains as a low-cost option with better facilities and improved passenger comfort. Though the trains mainly serve non-AC passengers, they are designed to provide a travel experience similar to premium services like the Vande Bharat Express.
