With the onset of Diwali, many people are making travel plans to visit loved ones, build memories during the festive season. As travel demand rises, both roads and trains are expected to get crowded. To help passengers avoid long waits and packed trains, Indian Railways has announced special trains for

the festive season. Special trains will run between Hubballi, Mangaluru, and Bengaluru to manage the Diwali rush.
Special Diwali Trains from Bangalore to Mangalore
• Train 07353 will leave Hubballi at 4:00 PM on October 17 and reach Mangaluru at 11:15 AM on October 18.
• Train 07354 will depart Mangaluru at 2:35 PM on October 18 and arrive at Bengaluru's Yeshwantpur Junction at 11:15 PM the same day.
Additional Special Diwali Trains from Bangalore to Mangalore
Train 06229 will depart Yeshwantpur at 12:15 AM on October 19 and reach Mangaluru at 11:15 AM.
• Train 06230 will leave Mangaluru at 2:35 PM on October 19 and arrive at Bengaluru Cantonment at 12:30 AM on October 20.

• 1 AC Two-Tier coach
• 2 AC Three-Tier coaches
• 10 Sleeper Class coaches
• 4 General Second-Class coaches
• 2 Luggage-cum-Brake Vans for baggage
To further ease travel, the Ministry of Railways launched a special "Round Trip Package for Festival Rush" scheme. It offers a 20% discount on the return ticket when booking confirmed tickets for both the onward and return journeys on the same route, class, and passenger list. Bookings began on August 14, 2025, for outbound trips between October 13-26 and return trips from November 17 to December 1. The offer doesn't apply to flexi-fare trains, and tickets booked under this scheme are non-refundable.
