Residents in several parts of Bhopal are expected to face scheduled power cuts on May 8, 2026, due to maintenance work being carried out by the electricity department. According to the latest update, nearly 35 areas across the city will witness temporary disruption in electricity supply for durations ranging from two to six hours.

The maintenance activity is being conducted to improve power infrastructure and ensure smoother electricity distribution during the ongoing summer season, when demand usually rises sharply.

People living in affected areas are advised to complete important household and office-related work in advance, especially tasks involving water pumps, internet connectivity, charging devices, and electronic appliances.
