Bengaluru witnessed heavy rainfall once again on the night of June 12, bringing back typical Bangaluru weather. Several parts of the city, including Agara, Marathahalli, Koramangala, Hebbal, and many areas in north and south Bengaluru, received intense showers. The rain led to waterlogging on roads, overflowing drains, and traffic disruptions in many localities.

Bengaluru Rain Alert
Residents woke up on Saturday morning to flooded streets and slow-moving traffic. According to weather agencies, the city is likely to continue experiencing wet and cloudy conditions throughout the day. The southwest monsoon has now covered the entire state of Karnataka, leading to widespread rainfall across the region.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) and the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) have warned that Bengaluru may receive light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms and lightning. Heavy rain is also possible in some isolated areas. Authorities have advised people to remain cautious, especially while travelling through low-lying areas that are prone to flooding.
Bengaluru Weather Records on 13 June
On June 13, Bengaluru recorded a temperature of around 20°C in the morning, with humidity levels touching 94 percent. The maximum temperature is expected to remain near 28°C, providing relief from the summer heat but creating uncomfortable conditions because of the high moisture in the air.
Advisory for Residents
Weather experts say that the rainy conditions are likely to continue as monsoon activity remains strong across Karnataka. While the showers have helped lower temperatures, they have also increased the chances of waterlogging and traffic jams in several parts of the city. Citizens are advised to carry umbrellas, plan their travel carefully, and stay updated on weather alerts, as rain and thunderstorms may occur at different times during the day.
