Bengaluru: Several parts of Bengaluru are set to witness scheduled power outages on Saturday, June 20, as electricity authorities carry out maintenance, inspection and infrastructure-related works across multiple substations in the city.

According to the announced schedule, power supply disruptions are expected across residential neighbourhoods, commercial pockets and select IT corridors. The shutdown has been planned to support maintenance activities and quarterly works undertaken by KPTCL and BESCOM-linked operations.
Consumers in affected areas have been advised to complete essential work in advance and keep devices charged before the scheduled outage window.
Power Cut Timing: 10 AM To 4 PM
The first phase of scheduled outages is expected between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, affecting areas connected to RR Nagar and Banashankari substations.

Residents are advised to plan travel, water pumping schedules and work-from-home activities accordingly.
Areas Facing Extended Outages Till 5 PM
Another set of localities may witness longer disruptions from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, especially in areas under Malleshwaram, C6, Amarjyoti, Domlur and HAL-related maintenance zones.

Power interruptions are also expected in parts of Domlur, HAL and eastern Bengaluru.

Commercial and office zones including EPIP Zone, Manyata Tech Park and surrounding business corridors may also experience temporary supply interruptions.
Advisory For Residents
Authorities have advised residents and businesses to:
- Charge phones, laptops and backup devices in advance
- Store sufficient drinking water if motor supply is affected
- Schedule work meetings outside outage hours where possible
- Use backup power arrangements for essential services
The shutdown is part of planned maintenance aimed at improving network reliability and ensuring stable electricity supply across Bengaluru in the coming weeks.
