  • RBI / BMTC substation area
  • Peenya substation and vicinity
  • Shanthinagar / central cluster feeder zone

Power supply in these zones will be temporarily suspended during the outage windows mentioned above.

Why the Outage Is Happening

The scheduled outage has been organised to support routine upkeep and urgent maintenance of important feeders and substations. These works, such as equipment inspection, repairs and upgrades, cannot be safely carried out while the power lines are live, hence the need for daytime shutdowns.

Residents are advised that this maintenance is intended to improve the reliability of power supply in the long term.

Tips for Residents

To manage daily activities during the planned outage:

  • Charge phones, power banks and laptops before the outage window.
  • Plan electricity-dependent tasks before or after the outage hours.
  • Keep backup lighting or emergency lamps ready.
  • If working from home, schedule meetings around the outage to avoid disruptions.
  • Planning ahead can minimise the inconvenience during temporary supply suspensions.
