Namma Metro services in Bengaluru will run for longer hours this Saturday, as the city is hosting the opening match of IPL 2026, and this step has been taken to help cricket fans travel easily after the match.

Bengaluru Metro's Extended Timings
The last train timings have been extended from all major terminal stations. From Whitefield, Kadugodi, the last train will leave at 12:30 am, while from Challaghatta and Silk Institute, it will depart at 12:45 am. Trains from Madavara will also leave at 12:45 am, and from Bommasandra at 1:00 am. The latest departure will be from RV Road at 2:00 am. At the central Majestic station, trains in all four directions will run until 1:30 am, making it easier for passengers to connect to different parts of the city.
How will it Benefit Commuters?
To make travel smoother, IPL match tickets will include QR codes for metro travel. These codes will allow fans to take two metro rides, either printed on physical tickets or included with digital tickets. Moreover, special parking arrangements have been made at many metro stations. On match days, parking charges will be fixed at Rs 30 for two-wheelers and Rs 60 for cars. This fee will cover parking until Metro services end for the day. Extra parking spaces have been arranged at 44 metro stations to handle the increased number of passengers.
Advisory for IPL Fans
The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited has also shared guidance for stadium entry. People entering through gates near Cubbon Park are advised to use the Cubbon Park metro station. Those using the Link Road entry should get off at the MG Road station, as it is closer to that entrance.
