Bandra-Palitana Samvatsari Train Announced For Festive Season, Booking Open, Check Routes, Timings

The Western Railway has launched a special train service from Bandra Terminus to Palitana for the Samvatsari festival, with bookings available from September 4. This service aims to meet the increased travel demands, offering AC 3-Tier, Sleeper, and General Second Class coaches.

The Western Railway has introduced the Bandra Terminus – Palitana Samvatsari Special Train to address increased travel demand during the festive season. The train will feature AC 3-Tier, Sleeper, and General Second Class coaches to accommodate various passenger needs. Bookings for this special train began on September 4 at 6 PM. Tickets can be purchased at all PRS offline and on the IRCTC website, according to Indian Railways officials.

Bandra Terminus – Palitana Samvatsari Special Train Timings

Train No. 09121 (Bandra Terminus – Palitana) will commence service on September 6, 2024, departing at 14:30 hrs and arriving at 06:00 hrs the next day. Train No. 09122 (Palitana – Bandra Terminus) will also operate on September 6, departing at 21:00 hrs and arriving at 11:00 hrs the following day.

Bandra Terminus – Palitana Samvatsari Special Train Routes and Halts

The special train will make stops at several stations along its route. These halts are designed to serve passengers from various locations efficiently.

In related news, Mumbai traffic police have imposed restrictions around Mount Mary Church in Bandra West due to the annual fair starting Sunday. These measures will remain effective until September 16 to manage the influx of devotees visiting the church.

An official stated that during this period, Mount Mary Road will be closed for all vehicles except those belonging to local residents with car passes and emergency vehicles from 6 AM to 11 AM. Kane Road will be one-way from its junction with Mount Mary Road to its endpoint.

Pereira Road will also be one-way, while St John Baptista Road will be closed for all vehicular traffic except for local residents with special passes. Parking or halting of vehicles will be banned on both sides of several roads including Mount Mary Road, Pereira Road, Kane Road, Hill Road, Carmel Road, Chapel Road, John Baptista Road, St Sebastian Road, Rebello Road, Peter Dias Road, and Paul Road.

The Bandra Terminus – Palitana Samvatsari Special Train aims to provide a convenient travel option for passengers during the festive season while ensuring safety and comfort through its varied coach options.
