Government Advisory for Airlines

On 23rd April 2025, the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued an official advisory from New Delhi. The advisory directed all airlines to increase the number of flights from Srinagar to other parts of India. This is to ensure that tourists can return home safely and quickly. The move is aimed at providing uninterrupted air connectivity and helping evacuate people stuck in the region.

The DGCA also requested airlines to waive cancellation and rescheduling fees for passengers affected by this incident. This support is expected to reduce the stress of travelers who are already going through a tough time.
