Patanjali Yogapeeth, a world-renowned medical and research institute in Yoga and Ayurveda, is located at 15 km from Haridwar on Roorkee road. At Delhi national highway the institute is situated at a distance of 22 km from the famous 'Har Ki Pauri'. Established in 2006 and expanded further in 2009, Patanjali Yogapeeth is the vision of yoga guru baba ram dev. The institute got its name after Maharishi Patanjali who is believed to be the inventor of Yoga.
The campus includes a university called Acharyakulam, spread over 1500 acres, indulging in the work of Research in the field of Yoga & Ayurveda. Besides, hospitals, laboratories, research centers, a canteen, an ATM, etc., are also inside the campus.
