Malgund – a tiny little village – is just a kilometre away from Ganpatipule. The renowned Marathi poet, Kavi Keshavsoot belongs to this place. His home has now been converted to a hostel for students.
Nearby, one can find a monument constructed by Marathi Sahitya Parishad, in the poet’s memory. It is called the Keshavsut Smarak. Alongside, there also exists a museum on Marathi literature worth checking out. Malgund is easily accessible by the Maharashtra State owned buses or a local auto.
