Norwood Paramdham, Dalhousie

Norwood Paramdham, known by various names like Kainth Wali Kothi, Tapo Bhoomi, Param Dham, Param Dham and Ram Ashram, is situated in Bakrota Hill of Dalhousie town. The guru is believed to have stayed in this house and preached about religion and social culture. In order to gain enlightenment, Swami Satyanand took on meditation and fasted for almost a month while on his journey to Dalhousie in 1925. During his stay at this place, he wrote many religious books.

Swami Satyanand breathed his last in 1960 after which this place also came to be known by the name of Param Dham. The house is now managed by Bhagat Hans Raj Ji, who follows the path of Swami Satyanand. He organizes regular satang and semi-annual meetings in the house. During this time numerous devotees gather together at this place. This house can comfortably accommodate 250 individuals at a time. Tourists can reach this place by covering a distance of 5 km from Gandhi Chowk.
