Dainkund Peak, resting at an altitude of 2755 m above sea level, is the highest mountain of Dalhousie. Located at a distance of 10 km from the town, this place is noted for its scenic natural beauty. This peak gives tourists a 360° view of the entire valley. The gentle sound of the breeze flowing through the mountain produces a symphonic sound, owing to which, the peak is also known as Singing Hill.

The peak is an air force base, left of which is the Pholani Devi Temple, considered to be one of the prominent tourist spot of the region. An interesting fact about the temple is that the only thing that can be found in the temple is a trident. Adventure lovers can take up a trek across the valley taking in the scenic beauty of the place as rivers flow through traversed riverbeds. Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary">Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary and Gandhi Chowk are nearby tourist attractions.
