Kavala Caves, Belgaum

Skykes point in Dandeli is famous for it's fabulous view of the valley of river Kali and is located in the heart of Dandeli Wildlife sanctuary. Named after the British engineer who discovered it, it provides a breathtaking view of deep valleys, thickly forested hills and the Nagajhari river flowing into the Kali.

There is a temple near by on top of a small hill which is inside a cave. The place is called Kavala caves and are formed by volcanic activity ages back. The caves are very small in dimension and have a lot of stalagmite formations.
