Asoga is a picturesque village located in Khanapur taluk of Belgaum district. Situated on the banks of Malaprabha river, Asoga is an attractive tourist spot. It is famous for the temple which was built during the Kadamba dynasty in the medieval period.
Important sequences from the 70s hit movie ‘Abhimaan’ (featuring Amithabh Bachchan and Jaya bhaduri) were shot near the river Malprabha at Asoga.
