Manohar Lal Khattar, Haryana's Chief Minister, inaugurated water sports activities at Hathnikund Barrage in Yamunanagar on Wednesday. The ceremony was also graced by the tourism minister and Jagadhri MLA Kanwar Pal. During the event, Khattar expressed optimism about the growing tourism sector in Haryana, and talked about the potential employment opportunities it could bring to the locals.

Development Initiatives to Boost Tourism in Haryana
According to Khattar, the number of tourists visiting Haryana is on the rise. A new park is being developed at the Barrage, which will be named after India's former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Additionally, there's a plan in place to launch a wildlife safari project across approximately 10,000 acres in Gurugram and Nuh districts. The project is expected to get underway soon. He further stated that there are numerous tourism possibilities down the hill from Kalesar to Kalka, with options for foot trekking, cycle trekking and motorcycling.

Exploring the Recreational Spots of Haryana
The chief minister highlighted various recreational places that one could visit, including Adi Badri, Lohgarh, and Trilokpur Devi Temple. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister attended Jan Samvad events in Pratap Nagar and Chhachhrauli blocks of the district, where he talked about the state government's efforts to provide relief to the public from an environment of fear, corruption, and discrimination by making significant changes in the system of the state.
The inauguration of water sports activities in Hathnikund Barrage and the planned development initiatives reflect Haryana's commitment to enhance its tourism sector. As the state continues to explore and promote its potential tourist spots, it is expected to attract more tourists, thereby boosting the local economy and creating more job opportunities. The state's relentless pursuit towards establishing a corruption-free and fear-free environment further strengthens its appeal as a promising tourist destination.
