Vividhta ka Amrit Mahotsav is a special festival that celebrates India's rich culture and traditions. This year, the festival is being inaugurated by the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, on March 5, 2025, at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The festival started last year with a focus on North-East India and was a huge success. It welcomed 1.3 lakh visitors and helped artisans sell products worth over ₹1 crore. This year, the festival highlights South India and features the five states of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh, along with Lakshadweep and Puducherry. The event aims to bring India's cultural diversity closer to its people and make Rashtrapati Bhavan a center for cultural exchange.
Highlights of the South India Edition
The festival offers visitors a chance to experience the beauty of South India's traditions through various attractions.
- Over 500 artisans and weavers will display traditional handicrafts and textiles such as Kanjeevaram and Kasavu sarees, Pochampally ikat, Mysore silk, and intricate brass and wooden crafts.
- More than 400 artists will perform folk and classical dances and music, showcasing the true essence of South India's culture.
- Visitors can enjoy a variety of South Indian dishes, including Bisi Bele Bath, Kerala Sadya, Chettinad specialties, and Andhra's spicy flavors.
- A Youth Engagement Zone will feature interactive workshops, storytelling, and cultural activities to inspire young minds.
Support for the Festival
Many government ministries and organizations have contributed to making this festival possible. The Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Ministry of Tourism, and the participating states and Union Territories have played an important role in promoting and preserving India's heritage.
Free Entry and Timings

Visitors can enter through Gate No. 35 of Rashtrapati Bhavan. The event will be open to the public from March 6 to March 9, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
