Travel with Bollywood in Kerala

Let's start our journey from Athirapally Waterfalls. This is where the song 'Behne De' from Raavan was shot. Some parts of the movie Guru was also filmed here. Located around 60 km from Thrissur town and 30 km from Chalakkudy, Athirapally keeps you refreshed with its alluring waterfalls. Though the gush of the waters may tempt you to get drenched, beware as the rocks there are quite slippery.

On the second day, let's take a drive from Athirapally to Munnar, one of the popular honeymoon destinations of Kerala. Located around 135 km from Athirapally, Munnar is where the Bollywood flicks likeChennai Express and Bombay were shot. The journey would consume around 4 hours. On the way you can cover Aluva which has a few unique attractions like the Periyar river and the Marthanda Varma bridge. Munnar has amazing stay options for travellers to choose from.

One you get fresh, take a journey through the attractions of Munnar. The whole filmNishabd was extensively shot here. This exotic location keeps you wondering why you got too late to visit the place. Eravikulam National Park, Pallivasal Falls, Meenuli and Rajmala are some of the attractions in Munnar. There is also an Echo Point located 13 km from the town. You can have an overnight stay at a resort in Munnar.

Day 4

Day 4

The 4th day you can head to Alleppey from Munnar which is around 160 km away. This 4 hour trip takes you to the beautiful backwaters of Alleppey where the song Jiya Jale from the movie Dil Sewas shot. The charming countryside makes for a perfect escape from the busy streets. The close-to-nature experience is one of its kind and to be experienced rather than explained. An overnight stay at one of these premier houseboats would be a rewarding experience.

Day 5

Day 5

Kochi is just 55 km away from Alleppey. An hour's drive can take you to the heart of Kochi, the most happening city of Kerala. The filming of some parts ofMadras Cafe was done here in Fort Kochi. Pay a visit to the location and also cover other attractions like the Bolghatty Palace, Jew Town and the Marine Drive. The journey ends here with a handful of photographs, experiences and memories through the Bollywood destinations in Kerala.
