The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is set to launch a new non-air-conditioned sleeper bus service between Bengaluru and Kannur in Kerala from August 7 to improve overnight travel connectivity and provide a comfortable option for passengers travelling between the two cities.

Bengaluru-Kannur Buses Stoppages
According to a KSRTC release, the sleeper bus will start from Madiwala in Bengaluru and pass through several important locations before reaching Kannur. The route will include Shantinagar TTMC, Mysuru Road Satellite Bus Station, Kengeri TTMC, Mysuru, Hunsur, Gonikoppal, Virajpet, Iritty and Thalassery.
Bengaluru-Kannur Buses Operations
The bus will start from Madiwala at 8.36 pm. It will reach Shantinagar TTMC at 9.16 pm, followed by Mysuru Road Satellite Bus Station at 10 pm and Kengeri TTMC at 10.15 pm. From Bengaluru, the bus will continue towards Kerala through the Kodagu region and reach various destinations along the route.
As per the schedule, the bus is expected to reach Virajpet at 3.30 am, Iritty at 4.45 am, Thalassery at 5.45 am, and finally arrive at Kannur at 6.30 am the next day. The overnight service will allow passengers to travel during the night and reach their destination early in the morning, saving daytime travel time.
KSRTC has fixed the fare for the complete Bengaluru-Kannur journey at ₹850 per passenger. Passengers travelling up to Virajpet will have to pay ₹600, while those travelling to Iritty and Thalassery will be charged ₹705 and ₹805, respectively.

With this new route, KSRTC aims to strengthen interstate connectivity between Karnataka and Kerala while offering a more convenient and comfortable travel option for long-distance passengers.
